Usage Costs on GenomeQuest

In addition to the yearly license fee, GenomeQuest has a 'usage' cost that is based on the number of GigaBases in a processed data file.

When you upload a reads-file to GenomeQuest and then send that raw data through the Reads Processing workflow (RP), RP counts the number of bases in your reads file. That number (in units of gigabases or 1 billion bases) is charged to your account.

Other than the Reads Processing workflow, none of the other NGS workflows in GenomeQuest incur consumption charges, i.e. you can run and re-run workflows as often as you need without incurring additional charges.
